Results of the ‘Long Ranger’ Tournament on 26th January 2013

The Anguilla Golf Association (AGA) hosted its second tournament for 2013 with the popular “Lone Ranger” four-person/two best balls Tournament format at Cuisinart Golf Course on Saturday 26th January.

A total of 37 golfers in 10 teams participated in the event which kicked off at 8:30am.

At the end of the days play, there were two teams tied at 140 and two teams tied at 141 resulting in a tie-breaker using the Scorecard Method.

The winning team emerging from the first tie-break for this event were Larry Stott, Thomas Astaphan and Barry Ashdown.

 

Second place went to the team of Courtney Morton, Val Banks, Lester Samuel and Chesney Hughes.
Third place was decided by the second tie-break with Team Members Nathalie Le Senechal, Mary and Rick Van Horne.

The next event in the AGA calendar for 2013 will be the coveted Peter Johnstone Claret Cup Island Championship & Tom Wright Memorial Championship stroke play tournaments scheduled for Saturday 16th February at 8:30am.

Dear AGA  Members,

We hope  that all of you are planning on participating in this upcoming Saturday morning, January  26th, AGA  event. Start time is 8:30am.

The  format will be the Lone Ranger.  Always a fun and exciting format.  We will have a social hour immediately following play.  Please register your intent to play at  the golf shop (264) 498-5602 by Thursday at 5:00 p.m., January  24th.

Please  remember if you plan on bringing a guest, the guest fee is an additional  $25.00.

All  membership dues for the 2013 season should be paid prior to the tournament or by  bringing the dues to our treasurer, Malcolm Hope-Ross Saturday morning.  An additional benefit this season for  AGA members is that range fees are waved.
